Very nice and sharp portrait , you must have been very close to the bird to get this result ....

Yes Fons, I was probably within 25 feet of the bird and I was using my 40-150mm lens as I had just taken other pics and had'nt taken the time to change. It is very sharp and I don't think I added any sharpness to it but am not sure. I have discovered a way for a little more sharpness which I did'nt know I could do....Thanks for the comment, Dave

Thank you Dirk for your generous rating. I really do like this pic for it's sharpness. I have not had the sharpness I look for in my pics for awhile and I really don't know why.....Dave
