This is lovely Fons. The E500 produces such wonderful warm colours doesn't it? Another success to you. I've started selling stuff around the house to buy a longer lens! All the best, Ingrid.

G'Day Fons:

How in the world did I miss this when you posted it? This is an amazing capture - perfecto!

I know a professor at the University of Florida who lived just outside of town and had one heck of a collection of birds on his gentleman's farm - mostly ducks and quite a few exotic pigeons, which he bred.

He had several pairs of North American Wood Ducks, which I'm quite familiar with, but he also had a couple pairs of the Mandarin, which I'd never seen or heard of prior to visiting his farm. Hands down the Mandarin is the most spectacular looking water fowl I can think of - and you certainly did the breed justice with this photograph. Bravo!

-Ciao!
