Once a prosperous port and important shipyard, from 1856 to 1939 the seat of the Danube Commission, Sulina has become a disadvantaged location.

The reason is that the town has no road access, the only way to reach it is by boat that leaves Tulcea and goes along the Sulina branch of the Danube. This keeps tourists at the seaside at low numbers.

Sulina is between the Danube and the Black Sea and its location gives perfect access to both the Black Sea's beach and to visit the Danube Delta.

Hello there Steve.

I’m very happy that you enjoy my Danube Delta work.
This was an amazing area to visit.
A bout my photo gear.
I do own and use 2 x E-3 (one pared with the 12-60 and one with the 50-200 swd + EC-14) this is a great outback combo, but rather heavy though.
For light and easy travel I prefer the E-PL1 with the Pany 20mm/f:1.7.
For hobby and recreation I also use the E-400 with the PanaLeica 14-50mm/2.8 mega O.I.S. (This give the benefit of both Kodak and Leica, something like “a poor man’s Leica” outfit.
On a safari to South Africa and Zimbabwe three years ago I used the E-510 which imagevise is absolutely superb, but can’t stand the same beating as the E-3.

What will happen to the 4/3`s in the future, who know?
I’m happy for now and can wait for an E-6 or 7 and a pro E-P something…

My next big advent will be the Antarctica February 2012…!

All the best to you to Steve.

Cheers from Norway
Olav
