Gee, I did not notice that. What caught my attention first was the colors and contrasts. I remember when Windows 98 came out I was looking at their backgrounds and colors with 'Wow'. So the grasshopper somehow reminded me of one of those backgrounds. So far I have not been able to capture this kind of colors (at least on the living things) with either of the cameras I have. So to me this image is something like amazing. I realize, looking 4th, 6th, and 10th time at it might get boring, but at first glance it is an eye catcher. Ah, and I did not notice the wings, :)

Fons,

I wonder just how much you cleaned from this image. Was the dark underneath the leafs intentional (was there a shadow) or did it come out too contrasty. It should not, since green is darker than blue, but then the grasshoppers's body has very nice touches of brownish red on it. Did you saturate it a bit?

You have an good eye Sergey,
There was a dark almost black shadow between the leaves .
I used that black to clone out the leaves trying to give this picture more depth.
Now it seems like the grasshopper is looking in the deep.
