Orchid Faces

I took this with a Russian Jupiter 9 85mm f2.0 lens @ f4 for many of my orchid pictures. This was a refreshing experience since winter seems to be hanging on longer than normal around here this year.

Orchids from Sonnenberg

One of my orchid pictures I took at Sonnenberg Gardens in Canandaigua, NY. I used an Olympus OM 55mm f1.2 @ f4 for many of the pictures.

Pristine Rose Bud

I took some snaps of my roses to test my experiment in rigging the Kiron macro lens for Canon FD mount to work on the Olympus 4/3 mount.

I lose focusing to infinity but it's a macro lense anyway. I can focus on the largest blooms in my garden and get them in the frame just the way I like.

I'm really glad I didn't sell this lense when it was listed on eBay.

Some folks complain about the dynamic range of the Olympus E500 and other models but from what I've seen I think they're doing what they're suppose to.

My camera has been made to see things like my own eyes do with the added advantage of being able to selectively focus with wider maximum apertures.

I don't know how it displays on everyone else's monitor but what I see is so clear and lifelike it's like I can reach out and touch it. I have yet to see anything like that from Canon or Nikon.

Red Rose

I managed to rig my Kiron 105mm that I had for Canon FD mount to work on my Olympus E500. This is from some of the snaps I took around my apartment building. This is taken at f2.8 hand held and the bloom is in the shade. I tried to sell this lens and I'm glad I didn't have any takers.

Shrimp Plant Bloom

This is a bloom I came across at the Lamberton Conservatory at Highland Park. The little tag said it's called a shrimp plant. The lens used is an OM 55mm f1.2 on short extension tubes.
