Very nice. I'm surprised you get so much in focus at just F2.8 which must be a very shallow DOF at 300mm.

As long the bird sit with the long side towards you its, not a problem ..
If she sits in an angle of 45 degrees the 2.8 is not enough for sure..
long at the tail , it's already OOF..
