At one time Ted had one of the largest collections of WWII M1 carbines in the country, the collection has now been sold off. The carbine pictured here is not his, he is just chscking it out for another collector.

Actually the photo is very good. I'm surprised nobody has commented about it yet. Technically it's perfect (is it RAW or is it straight from the camera?), with excellent lighting and white balance, demonstrating the technical strengths of the E-M5. Amazing that despite the large aperture, so much is in focus. Good foreground-background composition.
Did you shoot this handhold or with a tripod? And was the scene set up or is it more of a candid shot?

Alfred, thanks for your comments. It is a jpeg as shot, handheld. The E-M5 is the best digital camera that I have owned that includes Canon, Leica, Panasonic and several Olympuses.

Simply superb!

I agree with Alfred. This is a great shot. I had been away from this site for about a month so I saw it only today. Great shot in every way both technically and aesthetically. Very natural and spontaneous and somehow seems honest and faithful to me.
Great job. Pekka
