Gruy?re is the name of a very touristy village in Switzerland which is also famous for its cheese. I could fix the camera against the window through which the cellar could be viewed.

Cheese , lots off cheese...

Very good picture , however the lights distract from the main view.
I would have cropped atleast the first two lights out.
Overall well done....

Best regards,

Thanks. I updated the picture after cropping some part (not too much, since I felt this would have influenced the perspective too much).

Exactly. Finest cheese. If you have the choice, buy the medium old or an old one. The cheese is watered with salted water and the older it is the spicier it becomes. They use robots to turn the cheese but unfortunately none was in action.

I can still smell it

Brings back some nice memories. I stopped there in August on my way to Zermatt. How did you manage to put up with the overpowering smell of bad feet? The cheese flipping robot was a wonder to watch, sorry you missed it.

I didn't have my camera that day, but if I did I would have liked to have taken this one. Lovely shot, the depth of the cellar is exactly the impression I had while standing there.

Did you also visit the H.R. Giger museum and bar?

No, we were only there for a very short stop and did not really visit the factory. We bought our cheese souvenirs in a super market so they were shrink-wrapped and had no opportunity smell until we opened them at home ... .

Scroll faux tilt effect

On my monitor resolution, when I quickly scroll up/down with the mouse scroll wheel, you get the optical illusion you are tilting the photo. Neat.
