Udo, have I to infer that Olympus cameras don't stand scenes where there is a lot of light? My C8080 is in maintenance for less than I see in this picture.

Yes and no. Yes because sometimes I have the impression that the quality of focusing highly depends on the light (even if you use "manual" focusing). But I think this has more to do with the processing of data than with the sensor.

No with respect to this picture. Due to the strong back light from the right side I corrected the exposure to enhance the contrast by -0.7. Maybe that this was not enough since the histogram had no dark values when I applied the color curve tool (GIMP).

But overall the atmosphere of the picture is correct.
