Never knew that wasp get covered all over with flower semens like that. Took the picture by chance. Strolled through Basel on a wonderful first of october, when I saw it arriving and settling on the flower. Grabbed the cam and started shooting away, following the wasp from flower to flower (it got quite annoyed .-)

After waiting a whole day finally I was able to shoot this wasp that was giving me hack off time.

I was experimenting with external flash for macro. this is with off camera and on camera together. I think the original occupant may have been Dolichovespula saxonica, but it never made it, and now it is so old that even the spiders have died.
