There's a lot I like about this, it has a lot of movement for a static subject if you know what I mean! I note your low shutter-speed! Hand-held? I would have been tempted to tone down the bright stem on the top left....

This was a macro experiment with an extension tube and a tripod. I agree with the distracting elements, I plan to clean these up and re-post. Thank you for your comments.
