G'Day Dave:

I'm not sure of the species, but when I was first looking at the thumbnail I thought it was a Golden Eagle. I've never seen one of these in Florida; that's for sure.

It's a fine capture, sharp, good color and an interesting subject. And even with the high shutter speed freezing the movement you get a sense of speed or urgency.

There's something in the lower right hand corner that's a bit distracting; however, the hawk is such a dynamic subject that my eyes were drawn directly to its eyes. Eventually, I noticed what looks like some leaves on a tree and maybe a large hill in the background.
