This is not a commen duck for the Netherlands I guess, never have seen it before.

I found it in a little water that runs between two fields in the city Papendrecht.

The unknown little Duck

This certainly is a very beautiful Duck, I alway's admire that smooth finish and the rich and vibrant color's you achieve which somehow brings your pic's to life, is this because of post proccessing or is it straight out of the camera? which ever way it's alway's beautiful to see. Nice Job.

Unknown Duck

Thanks Kerland, this image is strait out the camera .

Only thing I added was a little level to get more shade in the picture.

Duck

Striking colours on this duck Fons. I am not well up on ducks, could it be a Mandarin Duck I could be and probably am wrong.

I Found the name

Thanks to you I found the name for that Duck. I looked on the internet under the name Manderin as you suggested but that was not the same as this one, how ever the Manderin is a beautiful Duck also.

This duck is the North American Wood Duck , I have no idea how it came to the Netherlands have never seen it before.
