Fly Agaric Amanita muscaria Height up to 20cm

Our most familiar toadstool. Widespread and common, always associated with birch and found on heaths and in mixed woodland. Red cap is covered with white flecks. Gills white and stem white with a ring. In troops, August/?November. Poisonous.

Very good picture Fons. I prefer this picture above your picture Autumn, because of the lower point of vieuw and the wider perspective. The second mushroom is much better in vieuw. The composition is more in balance en not only a portriat of 1 mushroom.

I like the composition more than the last one. For sure it has to do with the POV. On the other hand is it less sharp than former.
Looking at these kind of pictures makes me remember why I?ve started with photography as a hobby.

One of the best macro shots I have seen for some time, low view point, composition, good saturation and correct exposure all combine into an excellent picture Fons.

It looks as though fill-in flash was used on nearside of toadstool.

Fore that low view point I had to go down quit far .
Laying on the forest floor to take this picture was amusing to see I guess.
What we all have to do to make a nice picture isn't it....
