Saterday night she did not come to get her extra portion of food, what happened ? Did she go and spread her wings to explore the world, or would she come back Sunday morning....? Of course I was up very early Sunday morning and waited, but no Thrush showed up, waited for hours .... When the clocked ticked by it became later and later, in the afternoon still no bird to see....Soccer almost started so I went inside to watch the game Holland versus Serbia Montenegro.... With my right eye I was watching the play and my left eye was keeping an eye out to the sliding door ware so many times she showed up to get her extra food... The game went on and Holland finally won the game with 1-0, but I lost.........a friend.... With a tear in my eye I took the little plate with some dried insects I had placed outside in to the house knowing after two days of waiting she would not show up anymore... I really hope she spread out her wings and flew away.....In the worst scenario , well I better not think of that........... Have a good flight my friend......

Beautiful last portrait from your little girl!!.. but maybe (I hope so !) not the last one. What I can said to you ... that everything is impermanent, a changing process, a beautiful mistery.... Best regards, Ricardo.

Thank you very much Ricardo for the comment and generous rating.
I am waiting for 4 day's now but the bird didn't show up anymore,I have a strange feeling that it is being eaten by a cat..
The reason for that is , she came 4-5-6 times a day to the sliding door to get some extra food , I can not except or will not except that she just stopped that habbit...I know a little how birds are, when there is some easy food to get the show up...
Well nature took it's course , we keep on hoping......

Sad story Fons but a beautiful picture.
Very sharp so you can see clearly the structure of the feathers. On his mouth you can even see the tooth by witch he broke out of the egg. And you certianly made eye contact with this model.

Thanks for sharing,

Hans
