Jetty jumping
These kids were jumping off the Henley Beach Jetty (suburban Adelaide, Sth Aust) and I just happened to be there at the right time. They were a bit worried that I was working 'for the government' because I had a big camera in hand and they weren't supposed to be doing it. When reassured I was just doing it as a personal hobby they were more than happy to continue their jumping fun. It had been 38 that day.

Nice one Ingrid. I cropped/reduced the ocean by half by placing my hand over the screen and thought it had greater impact. Am I being to critical? Sorry! BTW looked at your portfolio and loved that image of your daughter. Normally I am critical of unnatural lighting, but whoever organised yours did well.

Thanks Val, I originally had a lot more ocean in the shot but have already cropped out at least half of it. I was trying to retain the idea of having the person above the viewer's line of sight to keep with the subject suspended at a higher level, at the same time I was mindfull of the fact that there was quite a bit of water left under him (so to speak..lol). Thanks for the comments about the other shots, the lady with the lighting is doing a degree in photographic art and just borrowed the kids for the day - she's doing it all with film though, hard work.
