Kaputian is one of the municipalities of Samal Island. On its public beach cum park is a beautiful white sand fringed shore overlooking across Talicud Island. The kids here are so playful and are willing to pose.

Sun Sync/Fill Flash

Hi Czaldy, I have to agree with Aldo here. This is a great view, unfortunately the image is so-so. This is where skill and experience comes in and fill flash would have made this image dynamite! The shallow DOF would have worked better if we could actually see the BG. Remember the camera is just a tool and one needs to make that tool second nature and do what you the artist wants to convey. I realize that "street" shooting is fast and furious with shots just appearing , but all the more reason to be prepared with advance knowledge of what the scene will need from you and the camera. Having said that, I still like the shot, but we could have LOVED IT instead. One tip that I can suggest is to use the Slave setting on the flash and turn to a low setting, this will usually give some sparkle to a wide range of contrast/light ratios. Keep shootingmore of these delightful scenes. R.
