Olympus E30 and another 5 exposure blend of -2 -1 correct +1 +2.

Absolutely impossible to capture this scene without using the bracket-n-blend technique.

Excellent. The only thing which makes me wonder a bit is the background. Kind of a mismatch between the rocks and the sky behind, i.e. does not look natural.

I like the sky

Nice shot,I usually have a hard time using anything but
auto bracket. The camera always moves slightly when I try to vary the shutter speed using the wheel of the e-510. I wish the auto bracket had more ev range. Is that Garden of the Gods by the way?

Thanks to all who and commented.

And:

Hello Mark...

Yes, the subject is Garden Of The Gods, two miles from my house. And yes the E30 has been the first Olympus I have had that I can handhold the +/- 2 stop bracket. This is thanks to the 5 FPS in continuous and it does account for the +/- 2 stops (all previous Oly cams only did +/- 1 stop). I believe the E3 also does the same as the E30 for FPS and the wider bracket.

There is still one flaw however in the E30...I wish I could setup mirror-up and have the exposure that is made after the delay fire all five exposures of the bracket, then lower the mirror. But no...it's mirror up, delay, one shot (not the whole bracket series) and mirror down, leaving you with four more shots to be made in the bracket series.

I do have a cord that I can use. Will be trying some tripod shots this weekend. Not bad hand holding, would be better on a sturdy pod.

See Ya...
