Thank you Fons ! I f?nd this suggestion with the reversed 50mm lens some where on a photo page - and tried it ! There is obviously lots of vignetting but you still get nice sharp and magnified details ! DOF seems to be about 0.7 mm ! The fly in this shot was 90 % alife and was crawling on the window bench before a invited her on the ball pen !

Dirk, nice exploitation in composition and capture, details are incredible, exposure is perfect and because of your innovative thinking, I'm sure that this method you have shared with us is no doubt going to leave many member's experimenting and possibly producing some amazing macro's in the future.
