The very fast and caustious Kolibri-butterfly. Always visitting flower after flower for its never ending thirst. Tricky to get sharp and at the right place. I have made a lot of shot's for some right ones.

Fillip, never have seen this kind of butterfy , looks more like a Moth to me. The picture is taken right on time, not much detail in the butterfly but that has to do with the colour I gues. With a shutterspeed of 1/1500 you still can see the wingbeat a little. Overall good picture.
PS. Is this taken in the NL. ?

Het is een kolibrie-pijlstaart. Nachtvlinder die vooral overdag actief is.
Deze foto is genomen op zakynthos Griekenland. Maar deze soort is zo gewoon dat hij in heel europa overal te vinden is. Ook in nederland, als immigrant. Hier dan wel iets moeilijker uiteraard. Tot in sept/oktober op warme momenten bij vlinderstruiken en andere nectarplanten. Met een beetje geluk zie je ze nu nog.
Sluitertijd is zelfs nu nog te traag voor elk detail, zo snel gaan zijn vleugels.
