The weather was excellent no cloud in the sky.
About the lens I am not sure, You did not bad your self I think?

Hi dave ,
Yes I did .
But before I protected the lens with two layers off very dark glass.
Glass that is being used in a protection head for welders.
This glass is so dark you can not see thru it , you have to hold it in front off a very bright light like a welding torch or the sun.
Thanks to these glasses I am able to see the solar eclipse very good.
