nice capture of lightning strands. I've yet to be successful at this despite our frequent lightning storms here in Florida. I would like to have read more about the time od day and location where the image was taken. Did you use a tripod or did you just get a lucky snap?

Thank you for all the nice comments. I have always wanted to capture lightning and this was my first attempt. I used a tripod and set the exposure for 40 seconds. This was actually 2 nice lightning strikes in one. At the beginning of the 40 seconds and towards the end. I had about 10 minutes before the storm started raining and I was lucky in the placement of the camera. The location is Manalapan New Jersey and this was from 6/29/06 at 10:50 at night.
