Paynes Prairie

G?Day Ingrid (or as we like to say here in the south: How y?all doin??) And thanks for the comment. While the image isn?t all that good, technically speaking, it does give a glimpse of what most of north central Florida looked like a couple hundred years ago and I figured I?d post it since it truly is a nature/wildlife photographer?s dream. As I told Fons not long ago, I wish Florida still looked as good as it does in Paynes Prairie. Weather permitting I?ll be on the prairie next week.

Where is Paynes Prairie? As mentioned above Paynes Prairie is in north central Florida just south of Gainesville and immediately north of the second settlement in Florida, after St. Augustine, Micanopy.
